Growing up in not-a-small-town-anymore Cambridge, Ontario, I’ve always been a writer. My very first completed story was five pages of Xena fan fiction, way before I knew what fan fiction was or the Internet existed to share it. (Small miracles, right?) I wrote all the time: everything from angsty teenage poetry to being the advice columnist and layout editor at our short-lived high school newspaper.
After finishing a business diploma specializing in aviation and taking every Creative Writing elective I could, I landed in Ottawa, Ontario. Now, I work as an aviation analyst by day and write young adult novels on nights, weekends and lunch hours.
I’m an avid reader, Ravenpuff, Tom Hanks superfan and enthusiastic hugger. I can quote the entirety of The Princess Bride.
I’m the leader of a large writer’s collective here in Ottawa, the Ottawa Writer’s Circle. Come check us out if you’re in Ottawa and are looking to do some writerly things!
